TheSautiProgram is a USAID-funded initiative to improve the health of all Tanzanians through a sustained reduction in new HIV infections in support of the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania. Sauti uses vulnerability-tailored evidence-based interventions to bring high-quality HIV prevention, HIV adherence support, and family planning promotion and service delivery to key and vulnerable populations (KVPs) in selected regions of mainland Tanzania. The Sauti program has the below fixed term vacant post for immediate filling
Position:
Key Population Services Coordinator - 1 position - Dar es Salaam.
Contractual duration: Six Months [April 2016 to September 2016]
Geographical Coverage: Dar es Salaam, Mbeya, Iringa, Njombe, Shinyanga regions
Job overview:
Reporting to the Biomedical Senior Technical Advisor - Sauti program, the successful candidate would provide support to the central level Sauti technical team and ministry of health in the roll out and monitoring of key population friendly services in selected government health facilities in five regions in Tanzania
Required Qualifications:
• Must be a licensed Nurse or Medical Doctor in good standing. • Experience in HIV program and Key Population clinical services
• Must be willing to travel up to 70% of the time.
• Fluent in English and Kiswahili [written and spoken]
• experience with PEPFAR funded programs Roles and responsibilities:
• Facilitate the finalization of the key population friendly services standard operating procedures and tools (April) • Participate to meeting with ministry of health to finalize the key population friendly services standard operating procedures and tools (April)
• Conduct orientation to the Sauti regional teams and GoT authorities on the key population friendly services standard operating procedures and tools and share the overall plan (April)
• Develop a plan for the baseline assessment of government health facilities to be selected for training in key population and friendly services
• (April) • Roll out the baseline assessment of government health facilities and identify the providers to be selected for training in key population and friendly services in five regions (April)
• Coordinate and roll out the national Key population friendly services training to the providers from the selected health facilities in five regions
• (May) • Develop a plan and coordinate the roll out of the Sauti practicum and mobile and static sites (community based HTC+ drop in centers) by trained providers (June)
• Develop a health facility onsite mentoring plan to trained providers and the roll out of a follow up assessment (June)
• Conduct onsite mentoring visits to the health facilities and roll out the follow up assessment (Jul-Aug-Sep)
• Develop reports: baseline assessment report, follow up assessment report, trainings report, practicum report, health facilities mentoring

• Perform other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor
• Regularly and timely communicate and coordinate with the central and regional teams
