Guidance and Counseling Officer POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University College is a constituent College of Tumaini University Makumira, owned by the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Tanzania. The College is based within KCMC Hospital grounds in Moshi, Tanzania The College trains health professionals for various University awards in clinical and health sciences. It currently wishes to recruit competent and committed human resources to fin the following vacant Academic and Administrative positions:5. Guidance And Counseling Officer
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Guidance and Counseling, Educational Psychology, or Theology; plus experience in other university guidance and counseling, admissions or teaching.
Duties:
Assisting the Dean of Students in guiding and counseling students.
Guiding and counseling students on academic, social, health and career planning issues.
Helping any student in need of academic, social and emotional assistance. .
Taking care of students’ welfare and ensuring that the sick are urgently treated and taken care of satisfactorily.
Provides direct support service to individual students, small groups, and classrooms.
Coordinating-students’ cultural, recreational and sports activities.
Serving as an advisor 10 students Government
Performing any other duties and responsibilities which may be assigned by the Dean of Students or other Senior College Officers
