Purchase Engineer POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Kazinikwetu Ltd on behalf of client is looking for a Purchase Engineer with exposure in procurement to be based in Dar es salaam.

Responsibilities
Negotiate the best payment terms and contract conditions, maintaining high level of integrity.
Issuance of Purchase Order
Arrange and participate in meetings between suppliers and company engineers and other personnel to facilitate standardization and economical procurement
Preparation of various procurement related reports.
Follow up with vendors for supply
Checking of all material indents
Coordinate with the site execution team for all purchase requirements
Maintenance, repair work, automotive parts procurement like Engines spare parts



Qualifications and Skills
Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
Minimum of 5 years experience in Procurement in Contracting / Manufacturing Industry desirable
Knowledge in ERP and Excel is essential
Good negotiation skills
Cost analysis knowledge
Fluency in written & verbal communication both English and Swahili
