Operations Clearing & Forwarding Officer POSITION DESCRIPTION:

An International Logistics Comapny is looking for a Operations Clearing & Forwarding Officer whose responsibilities will include;
1) Port Clearance & Forwarding, Transit Goods
2) Port Clearance, Import Goods
3) Border Clearance & Forwarding, Import/Transit/Export Goods
4) Freight Container Management
5) Clearing and Forwarding Business Development
6) Act as the subject matter expert on all clearance issues by providing direction and support to Fleet managers to ensure best practice all port and border clearance is consistently achieved.
7) Ensure accurate documentation and border clearing agent contacts to fleet managers at point of forwarding to transport operations.
8) Effectively priorities tasks and activities and provide timely weekly reports on progress.

Requirements

1) Post Graduate Education in Business Management or similar field of study.
2) Project Management (PRINCE 2 / APMP) – Desired.
3) Quality Management (LEAN six Sigma Certification / TQM) – Desired

Experience
1) 3 years’ experience in customs clearance & forwarding as well as associated material handling, storage and warehousing.
2) IT Literate, specifically on all MS Office applications and data management systems.
