NEW DREAMS PROGRAM MANAGER POSITION

Position: New Dreams Program Manager - 1 position based in Arusha


Position Overview: Provide technical leadership and oversee project, providing essential support to the Country Director in managing and supervising the entire program implementation, including project staff and local partners. Supervise and coordinate individual, school, and community-based interventions and oversee capacity building of local program partners. Ensure harmonization of activities across the project. Support M&E staff to assess and utilize program data to optimize programming and ensure the project is on track to achieve its objectives. Overall responsibility for report writing and information sharing with Country Director and WEI/Bantwana regional program staff.

Qualifications: 7+ years of experience designing, planning, implementing, managing and evaluating gender, HIV prevention, and education programming; experience with PEPFAR programs highly desirable; familiarity with national policies and guidelines for gender and education; fluent in English and Kiswahili; Master’s Degree or higher.

World Education’s Bantwana Initiative
Seeks Staff for New Gender Based Violence (GBV) Prevention Project and anticipated girls’ education and empowerment program (New Dreams).


The Bantwana Initiative of World Education seeks candidates for multiple positions for an anticipated Gender Based Violence (GBV) prevention and anticipated girls’ education and empowerment program. The project is expected to commence in October 2016. Bantwana (www.bantwana.org) is an initiative of World Education, Inc. (www.worlded.org).


Position: GBV Technical Director - 1 position based in Arusha


Position Overview: Provide technical leadership and oversee project, providing essential support to the Country Director in managing and supervising the entire program implementation, including project staff and local partners. Design program strategies and activities focused on GBV prevention and response, including awareness raising campaigns, service delivery to GBV survivors, and community mobilization around GBV prevention and norms change. Ensure harmonization of activities across the project. Support M&E staff to assess and utilize program data to optimize programming and ensure the project is on track to achieve its objectives.


Qualifications: 7+ years of experience designing, planning, implementing, managing and evaluating gender programming; experience working with USG-funded programs; familiarity with Tanzanian GBV and gender policies and strategies; fluent in English and Kiswahili; Master’s Degree or higher.
