    The Education Quality Improvement Programme in Tanzania (EQUIP-Tanzania) is a four-year education programme which aims to improve education primarily focussing at the council level, working in 36 councils. The focus will be on the integrated development of existing council educations systems incorporating school improvement, educational governance, and management systems.


    We are currently seeking to recruit Fund monitoring officers for our Singida and Katavi regions to oversee the collection of monthly bank reconciliations, expenditure reports and quarterly budgets. You will be responsible for recording the disbursements, expenditures and balances associated with the portfolio on the EQUIP-Tanzania finance system, site visits to districts to review records, developing close working relationships with key district staff and providing support on the update of policies and procedures and delivering training to relevant staff.


    Qualified to degree level in accountancy or equivalent, with professional accountancy qualifications you will have excellent understanding of the Government of Tanzania Public Financial Management processes and the cycle as it applies to local, district, regional and central government. You will have experience of using MS Quick Books or other similar finance package, enjoy working in a team environment with a willingness to learn and support others. Previous work experience gained working on donor funded programmes would be an advantage.
