SBC Tanzania Limited is a well-established and progressing multinational company that supplies soft drinks products nationwide. We
have operational plants in Dar es Salaam, Mwanza, Arusha and Mbeya. We are urgently in need to recruit qualified and experienced personnel with finger on skills to fill the following vacant positions based at Dar es
Salaam Plant.
1. PRODUCTION SHIFT MANAGER
Position Summary:
The Shift Manager, Production contributes to the SBC's success by directing the production team to meet production targets and achieve standards related to cost, line efficiencies, waste, safety and productivity. This individual must set production performance standards and align the organization to achieve standards.
Main Responsibilities:
Shift Manager, Production assists the Production & Bottling Managers to;
Direct coordinate production processing in a shift.
Supervising line production supervisors.
Review processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and
time constraints.
Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, and other operational reports, to detect production problems.
Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve personnel grievances.
Set and monitor product standards, examining samples of raw products or
directing testing during processing, to ensure finished products are of prescribed quality.
Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.
Coordinate and recommend procedures for facility and equipment maintenance or modification, including the replacement of machines.
Coordinate implementation of HACCP and requirements for the AIBI audit for the plant.
Position Qualifications:
Degree in Food Science and Technology, Chemical Engineering or a related field with at least 5 years progressive working experience in similar roles and responsibilities preferably in beverage/breweries industry.
2. UTILITY SUPERVISOR
Position Summary:
Provide maintenance support and Support Production & Quality Control Departments in implementing various performance improvement activities
Main Responsibilities:
Responsible for proper operations and maintenance of Utility Equipments like Refrigeration compressors, Air compressors, Boilers, Cooling Towers, Cooling Units, Furnace Oil offloading and storage systems.
Adhere to the current Preventive Maintenance Procedures and Schedules for all Utility Equipments.
Ensure that all documents for equipments operations and maintenance activities like Log Book, History Card & Preventive Maintenance Check List is properly filled, filed and is kept in an easily accessible
place - for all Utility equipment.
Responsible for planning of spares required, in advance, for Services of all compressors, as given in the Manual.
Responsible for Annual Inspection of Boilers.
Ensure that all parameters are ensured for efficient operation of Utility Equipments.
Check and record the flue gas analysis every month for both boilers.
Champion for Co2 Yield - Conduct weekly leak test for Co2 pipe lines and record the observations in a log book and be a part of the Maintenance Team to check the filler bowl and valves leaks every week covering all
the fillers.
Document all daily observations in a Log Book and to be circulated to the Maintenance Manager and Bottling Manager.
Practice good housekeeping methods in the Utility Block and Fuel Offloading station.
Ensure the proper standards are maintained while dosing the treatment chemicals for boilers and cooling towers.
Competencies/skills:
Excellent knowledge in record keeping; Knowledge on Microbiologic Testing; Knowledge on Chemical Testing and Standardization methods
Position Qualifications:
Diploma or FTC in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanics
At least three years' experience on related field
