Our organisation, The Small Things,
believes in building and supporting happy families, in all of their
various shapes and forms. We create sustainable, participatory and
evolving care plans for orphaned and vulnerable children and families in
the Meru district of Tanzania. Working with the community, we bring
together small acts from around the world to create big change!
We are currently looking for a bright and energetic OUTREACH AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR who will be able to support our community development efforts in the Meru district. Only those with a degree in social work will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:
-Create and facilitate community learning events and presentations for all outreach participants on a quarterly basis
-Manage outreach screenings, and advise team on intake and new client admissions
Qualifications:
-Social worker with a degree in sociology or community development from a registered school
-Experience with case file management a plus
-Exceptional networking & negotiations skills and strong public speaking/presentation skills
-Previous grassroots/community outreach experience a plus
-Non-profit experience / experience working with the vulnerable po
pulation preferred
-High level of computer proficiency and knowledge of all google systems
-Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes late evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed
-Committed to working toward positive community change
-Ability to work independently,and proactively
-Will take direction from others, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines -Strong attention to detail and highly organized
-Commitment to the vision and mission of TST
-A collaborative, open team-player who's able to maintain and support a wide range of stakeholders of various positions and ages
-A self-motivated go-getter who is committed to working toward positive community change
-Ability to manage multiple programs and compartmentalize tasks
-Effective at managing schedules and supervising program staff

Key Responsibilities:

- Attend all mandatory program trainings and meetings
- Attend
and participate in weekly team meetings as required -Establish and
maintain good relationships with Social Welfare,Community leaders, local
government, organizations, and churches and acts as primary point of
contact for organizations interested in Outreach Program
-Establish and maintain good relationships with all outreach participants
-Conduct new outreach participant onboarding,orientation, business training and follow-up business refresher classes on a quarterly basis -Measure & track outreach family progress weekly and use culled data to guide future development of all outreach procedures, policies and programmes in collaboration with the outreach team
-Assist with data collection for outreach M&E initiative
-Manage outreach graduation event and advise team on participants suitable to graduate
=Conduct and compile quarterly participant feedback survey -Facilitate quarterly case review with outreach team
-Document and record all outreach client field visits to include in weekly and quarterly report - Socialize weekly and quarterly outreach reports with relevant TST staff
-Provide annual and monthly reports to Social Welfare
-Create and maintain files on each family including care plans in collaboration with Child welfare director
-Support and monitor reunified families in collaboration with Child welfare director - Act as first responder for all urgent situations
-Facilitate quarterly case review with outreach team
-Act as supervisor and trainer for outreach coordinator
