Job Description
Dalberg is currently seeking a Knowledge Management Specialist for a 3-4 month period, with the possibility of extension, who will actively support Dalberg’s large-scale projects to codify learnings, distill knowledge and communicate them to relevant stakeholders. The person is expected to work with multiple project teams (ex. a large government delivery project, a global health project, and a private sector development project), with oversight from the Global Shared Services team, to execute mandates of respective clients pertaining to producing knowledge products for internal and external audiences. Simultaneously, the role will serve Dalberg’s vision of being an insights leader, by contributing to the firm’s global knowledge management function. The person will also support other aspects of project-related outreach, such as events, digital outreach, publications, websites, analytics, and more.
The position is for a period of 3-4 months, with possibility of extension. The position can be located in any of Dalberg’s offices. This position is not a consultant-track position.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Contribute to select Dalberg projects by working with teams to develop and disseminate knowledge and select thought leadership pieces (e.g., internal knowledge products such as toolkits, 1 page briefs, key insights, and also potentially reports, articles, blogs, infographics using KM content for internal audiences to also reach external ones, etc.)
- Create knowledge-based content for each project and synthesizing across projects on related topics (Ex. data, methodologies, expert views, best practices, case studies, learnings)
- Contribute to knowledge created by relevant practice areas (Ex. brochures, training decks, content for practice area quarterly calls)
- Record project impact by collecting outcome data and qualitative feedback
- Support knowledge transfer to similar projects
- Examples of external audience focused work could include: preparing outreach material for project stakeholders as per guidance from the clients, setting up microsites to capture learnings from projects and to present Dalberg’s insights on the website, and supporting knowledge outreach activities such as webinars, newsletters, events, etc.

Qualifications:
Required skills:
- A bachelor’s degree or higher
- 1-5 years of applicable past work experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English
- Knowledge/communications-related experience of creative content creation, copywriting, and design
- Comfort with basic graphic design
- Fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

- Excellent time and project management skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently under tight deadlines
- Ability to present information in an insightful and structured manner (written and verbal)

- Sensitivity to the political and cultural environment of international public agencies or similarly complex environments
Preferred:
- Proficiency in French
- Experience of serving big-ticket clients on mission-critical projects with multi-dimensional teams
- Experience living and working in different cultures (time spent in developing countries strongly preferred)
- Comfort with basic quantitative analytics to support output and outcome tracking
