Introduction
The Institute of Accountancy Arusha is a parastatal academic institution offering undergraduate and postgraduate training courses. It is established by the Institute of Accountancy Act (cap. 240) R.E 2002 with its headquarters at Njiro Hill, Arusha City. The Institute wishes to recruit a number of suitable, motivated potential and capable human resources from the market on an unspecified time and pensionable terms

Essence and Mandate for the Recruitment
The Institute has replacement of employment permit No. BC.10/09/01/D/93 dated 16th February 2015 issued by Permanent Secretary-President’s Office Public Services Management giving it approval and mandate to recruiting for the vacancies mentioned hereunder as per the IAA Act

JOB TITLE: LECTURER (1 Post) (Finance)

Scope of the position and its expected outputs
Holder of the position is responsible for all assigned academic duties. The outputs in this position are expected in the quality, efficient and effective dissemination of skills and knowledge in a competence based mode with big and value adding results with integrity and honesty

Position relationships
Reports: to the respective Head of Department
Supervises: NIL

Key duties and responsibilities
• Teach up to NTA level 8 for Master’s Degree holders and up to NTA level 9 for PhD holders
• Guide and supervise students in building up their practical and research projects
• Prepare learning resources and design training exercises for students
• Conduct consultancy and community services
• Develop and review existing curriculum
• Undertake individual research and participates scientific/academic congregations
• Prepare teaching manuals, simulations and case studies training
• Coach junior teaching staff
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors

Person specification
By recruitment of holders of Doctorate (PhD) Degree in relevant fields who is eligible for registration as a technical teacher or

Registered technical teacher/trainer with a Bachelor degree (3.8 or above GPA) in the respective discipline and a masters degree (3.5 GPA/B+ or above) in the relevant field form a reorganized University/Institution. Must have proven applicable working experience preferably in research/consultancy of at least five consultancy/research respects of the academic and professional appreciable depth in the relevant field. Must have a maximum age of 40 years

Or
Registered technical teacher working in a similar institution/University and has scored a good performance appraisal in that institution for at least three years and have published at least two peer reviewed papers in the relevant field since last promotion

JOB TITLE: ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY (1 Post)

Scope of the position and its expected outputs
Holder of the position is responsible for all assigned duties in ensuring timely execution of secretarial, administrative and office management functions with adherence to policies and laws of the Institute’s with big and value adding results with integrity and honestly

Position relationships
Reports: to the respective head of department
Supervised: NIL

Key duties and responsibilities
The holder of this position must have the following
Holder of Form IV certificate with Degree in secretarial studies/Office Management; and Administration or Diploma in secretarial duties from relevant training institution with pass 120 w.p.m shorthand either in Kiswahili or in English with nine (9) years of practical experience in the field. Must be competed in Computer applications e.g. MS-Windows, MS-Office, Internent, and e-mail, Possession of a certificated in Management Development for Executive Assistant level it will be added advantage. Must have a maximum age of 40 years
