Job Title Ware house supervisor
Location Kyela – Mbeya
Reports t Assistant Manager Purpose
Plan and organize labor force, ware house set up, oversee loading and offloading merchandise, oversee the security and safety of the warehouse and conduct daily stock reconciliation.
Accountability Areas:
1) Plan, organize and assign duties to staff according to work load for the day.
2) Prepare documents in the ware house ~or both incoming and outgoing cargo and maintain records.
3) Prepare daily stock report and submitted to HIO.
4) Oversee the’ safety of goods in the warehouse; by ensuring that there are security guards, proper locking of padlocks, alarm system and fire extinguishers are available and are in good working condition.
5) Daily, weekly and monthly stock taking and .documenting goods in the store after loading/offloading.
6) Plan and organize the warehouse including organizing consignments,
planning for space in the store, pallets and ensure cleanliness.
7) Assist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks. –
8) Checking in merchandise and verify if they match purchase orders to sales orders
Specification
• At least a degree in business related course from a recognized institute of learning
• Experience in warehouse management of at least 4 years in a busy place
• Good mathematical and accounting skills
