District Agricultural Officers ( x  44 positions )

             Job Duties & Responsibilities

·         In charge of all agricultural production activities at the District level.

·         Collect and write reports of agricultural activities in the District

·         Promoting collaboration in the implementation of Agricultural projects and programmes in the District.

·         Capacity building and backstopping on community mobilization and in area of specialization;

·         Promoting consultative forum with various stakeholders and collaborators within the District;

·         Promote investment in value addition and marketing of agricultural  products and by-products;

·         Organizing field days, demonstrations, shows, exhibitions and farmer tours;

·         Preparing and implementing District work plans budgets; and

·         Establishment and management of information desks in the District

·         Preparation of periodic reports for the District.

Requirements

·         A Diploma in Agriculture with at least six months experience in the field.

·         Computer literacy

·         Ability to ride a motorbike or ready to learn

SALARY :  TSHS.  726,000 before all legal deductions

PROVISIONS: you will be given the following items/services:

-          A Motorbike

-          A computer laptop

-          A phone

-          Field expenses will also be given

    Ward Agricultural Officers ( x  84 positions )

             Job Duties & Responsibilities

·         In charge of all agricultural production activities at the ward level.

·         Collect and write reports of agricultural activities in the ward

·         Promoting collaboration in the implementation of Agricultural projects and programmes in the ward.

·         Capacity building and backstopping on community mobilization and in area of specialization;

·         Promoting consultative forum with various stakeholders and collaborators within the Ward;

·         Promote investment in value addition and marketing of agricultural  products and by-products;

·         Organizing field days, demonstrations, shows, exhibitions and farmer tours;

·         Preparing and implementing ward work plans budgets; and

Requirements

·         An Advanced Certificate or a  Diploma in Agriculture with at least six months experience in the field.

·         Computer literacy

·         Ability to ride a motorbike or ready to learn
