Job Description

We are currently preparing for a large DFID Cities and Infrastructure for Growth (CIG) programme opportunity in Uganda. This project will focus on the areas of urban economic development, local economics and employment, city and regional planning to promote local economic
development, urban investment strategies and smart urban solutions in urban infrastructure provision. The overall impact of the CIG programme will be enhanced economic growth leading to job creation and poverty reduction.
We are seeking experienced Financing and Commercial Experts with substantial (minimum of 10 years) international experience for both long and short-term consultancy opportunities.
Candidate Specification

• MBA/ CFA/ CA or relevant qualification
• Previous regional experience in sub-Saharan Africa on donor funded programmes
• Significant experience working on urban development project financing, including mobilising innovative private finance and increasing public finance for urban projects.
• Experience of capacity building of host governments, strengthening their ability to plan, finance and manage infrastructure assets and services, to improve overall sector financial viability and reduce investment risk.
• Experience with PPP and understanding of DevCap platforms, CDC, PIDG.
• Experience with infrastructure financing, capital budgeting and fund allocation, macro-fiscal advice, and securing long-term, sustainable investments into services.
• Excellent report writing skills
• Fluent in English
