Twaweza: Appointment of Director of Strategy and Learning

Through the excellence of its applied research, its pioneering thought leadership, and innovative approaches to engage citizens and governments in Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda, Twaweza not only influences the countries it serves, but also plays a global role, notably with its innovative research collaborations with leading universities and through involvement in the Open Government Partnership, the Transparency and Accountability Initiative, the Global Partnership for Sustainable
Development Data.
Twaweza is now seeking a new Director of Strategy and Learning. Reporting to the Executive Director and as a member of the senior leadership team, the Director of Strategy and Learning will be responsible for helping to lead Twaweza through the design and implementation of a new strategic plan. The role will also lead the design and implementation of all monitoring, evaluation and learning frameworks and foster a culture of learning across the organization.
This is an exciting time to join Twaweza as we embark on a new strategic plan to catalyze citizen agency and promote more open civic space. You will bring a solid grounding and are confident in applied research and a depth of experience and understanding in the field of learning, monitoring and evaluation (LME). You will also be a highly capable leader and manager able to contribute to organizational strategic planning and the design of LME approaches which will
contribute to organizational goals. You will also be intellectually curious deeply motivated to see positive change.
