The specific communications functions of the position are:

- Support local team in communications activities, material production and update materials for website and social media.
- Ensure that communications activities promote an accurate image of the organization and its programmes amongst media and other targeted audience.
- Support our staff in identifying and developing effective messages, framing and means for delivering them to reach communication objectives and targeted audience.
- Support Regional Director in communications and stakeholder activities by producing communications materials, presentations, memos, Q&As, and other background information.
- Oversee branding of our materials in Tanzania.
- Support stakeholder communications/events and internal communications.
- Assist in arranging stakeholder events and meetings.
- Participate in office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies under the supervision of the Finance and Administration Manager
- Support the Regional Director in identifying, developing networking and partnership schedule
- Support budgeting and bookkeeping procedures
- Create and update records and databases with personnel, financial and other data
- Any other duties assigned by the Regional Director
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business administration, or other related fields, with knowledge of communication and marketing principles
- At least 3 years of professional work experience in organizational communications and marketing or public relations
- More than two years of experience in designing, editing and producing publications, especially reports and briefs
- Professional proficiency in English-language writing, editing and spoken.
- Excellent oral communication and presentation skills (PowerPoint)
- Website and social media content editing and proofing.
