POSITION: DRIVER
Grade: G2

Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Responsible Officer, the incumbent will perform the following specific responsibilities:
• Provide reliable and safe driving services to the operations and program staff.
• Drive officials and visitors, meeting personnel and visitors at the airport, facilitate immigration, customs formalities, hotel check in and other local formalities.
• Ensure day to day maintenance of the assigned vehicle, check oil, water, battery, tyres, car washing, etc perform minor repairs and timely arrange for any other repairs necessary to keep the vehicle safe and technically sound at all times.
• As required, provide informal interpretation services from/to the local language for the head , of the office and official personnel using the car. ,
• Provide general office assistance to office staff, including but not limited to filing,
photocopying, and payments of bills as required.
• Log official trips, daily mileage, vehicle servicing, repairs, etc.
• Handle local and organizational formalities when involved in an accident, ensure that all
organizational and rules, regulations and procedures are followed correctly.
• Collect and deliver mail and documents to the post office, UN Agencies, etc.
• Perform other related duties as required.
Post requirements: knowledge and experience
EDUCATION
Essential: Secondary school education. Possession of a valid driver's license class C.
Desirable: Training or demonstrated knowledge of vehicle mechanic.
EXPERIENCE :
Essential: 5 years of work experience as a driver.
LANGUAGES: .
Essential: Excellent knowledge of English and Swahili.
INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS•
The driver must know national rules and regulations as well as chauffeur protocol and courtesies.

AKF Tanzania invites applications from qualified from qualified and dynamic candidates for the position of senior programmer officer, Health and Nutrition base in Dar-es- salaam and reporting to the county Director. This position is part of AKF Tanzania’S core team that would provide the successful candidate with an exiciting opportunity to the East Africa region. This is a highly demanding position and the successful candidate will be expected to take lead in the health and nutrition sector- lesding and contribunting to AKF-T’s strategic directions, programmer development, resource mobilization, grant management, and learning and policy engagement in in health and nutrition . specific responsibilities include:
. Provide technical oversinght and quality control of health and nutrition programmes;
.fulfill all grant management responsibilities for on-going and future grants/projects including writing and overseeing the development of high quality progress resport, project implementation challenger and recommeding solutions, and ensuring excellent, cooperative relationships with partener institutions;
.Lead programmer development and resource mobilization for AKF’s health , nutrition and earl childhood development portfolio in Tanzania; Development and /or cotributeto successful programme proposals in –line with AKF’s regional health, nutrition and ECD stragtegy and wider AKDN priorities. and
.Foster productive relationship with key stakeholders including relevant ministries and government authorities, programme and practices; and
. Foster productive relationship with key stakeholders including relevant ministries and government authorizes, networks, working groups, policy forums, development partners, donor agencies, private sector and civil society organizations working on health, nutrition and early childhood development.
The ideal candidate will have
1. Minimum of a master’s degree in health, nutrition or related field;
2. At least six years of solid experience working withn system, public health and/or project management on health and/ or nutrition projects
3. Experience of working with materinal, newborn and child health and/or nutrition programmes. Experies in earl childhood development is an added advantage;
4. Proven experience in grant/project management;
5. Demonstrated capacity to write high quality responds for donor projects and analytical briefs;
6. Programmer development experience with ability to write strong proposals and responsive birds for new programming;
7. Strong familiarity with monitoring and evaluation methologices and logical frameworks;
8. Exceptional written and verbal skills in English . Knowledger of Kiswahili will be an advantage.
9. Knowledge of programme and budget planning process and a solid understanding of project funds management;
10. Strong leaders, teamwork and management skills;
11. Ability to multi-task and work and tight timelines
12. Through understand of the global and national efforts on health and nutrition;
13. Experience of working in Tanzania or East Africa.
