Key expert 2: Branding Specialist , Uganda





    Job Description

    WYG has been shortlisted for the EU funded project “Support to Local Construction Industry” in Uganda.
    The overall objective of the project is to improve the transport sector in terms of sector governance, planning, implementation and sustainability of infrastructure. The purpose of this contract is
    increased competitiveness of the local construction industry in the transport sector.
    The intended start date is September 2017 and the period of implementation of the contract will be 36 months from this date.

    We are currently seeking canddidates for the position of Key expert 2: Branding Specialist with the following qualifications and skills:
    Qualifications and skills
    • University degree in communication, media/journalism, marketing/business, public relations or other relevant field;
    • A Masters’ Degree in Branding, Graphics Design, Marketing Communications or other relevant field will be an added advantage;
    • Membership of a recognised and relevant professional institution is preferable;
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
    General professional experience
    • At least 10 years’ working experience in branding/rebranding institutions to increase awareness and improve their stature and public reputation.
    Specific professional experience
    • At least 5 years’ experience in brand management, at a senior management level, including development of brand strategies;
    • At least 3 years’ experience in building communication capacity in teams including building knowledge management systems;
    • At least 2 similar projects that demonstrate experience in analysis, solutions and marketing to support institutions in the engineering/construction sector will be an added advantage;
    • Demonstrated experience in developing Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials, design layout of documents and determining communication channels for both new and existing products. Experience of designing communication messages for programmes is desirable;
    • Demonstrated experience in product management, sales, or advertising.
