FINANCE MANAGER - WORK FORCE CONSULT

Our client a class one constructions company in a civil building works is looking for finance manager to the head finance department

The finance manager shall work under the directions of the managing director to coordinate and prepare annual operations plan, budget lead performance management

KEY RESULT AREA AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A.      FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

Developing /administer and monitor companies financial systems in order to ensure finace are maintained and delivered in an accuracy and timely manner


  •   Ensure the company meet its due  diligence require meets with regards with regards to finance management and risk  management development of appropriate policies as well as enforce of  policies within a company
  • Develop procedure oversee controls in issuing all payments and ensuring timely payment
  • Manage the accounting system ensuring that all staff are using  them in appropriate way that ensure  all transactions are properly recorded and regular reports  are generated and acted upon
  • Implementation and monitoring of financial policies, procedure and systems  for effective and efficient financial management with the company and ensuring  company compliance with the  governing  Tanzania  legislations and international financial reporting standards
  • Assist the management in contract management and ensure all contracts, correspondence are properly  documented and safely  stored for easy retrieval in the future
  • Preparations and statutory returns e.g VAT, PAYE, PPF, Provisional return to carry out accounting data storage  and backup checking and approving payment vouchers preparations of cash flow and projections ensure adherence in internal controls




B.      FINANCIAL REPORTING


  • Responsible for  preparations of monthly, quarterly and project life date analytical report
  • Preparations and submission of monthly  and annual department and financial systems and reports to the managements
  • Ensure timely submission of projects expenses reports prepare bank reconciliations  for all bank account cash weekly book monthly and annual




C.      MONITOR PERFOMANCE BUDGET


  • Set up and issue budget controls and guidelines as per management instructions and financial policy
  • Assist managers in preparing revised budget when actual performance begins to differ
  • Assist management to create /enhance systems for tracking expenses


OTHER DUTIES AS MAY BE ASSIGNED BY MANAGEMENT FOR TIME TO TIME

a.       Bachelor degree in finance, accounting business management

b.      Must have professional qualifications in accounting i.e CPA, ACPA  A master qualifications will be an added advantage

c.       Over 5 years professional experience in a medium size organizations at senior level with demonstrated impact and ability to handle increasing responsibility/accountability

d.      Demonstrated ability to get things in stressful and complex situations

e.      Excellent understanding  and experience in working  with accounting package

f.        Excellent computer skills (excel, word, outlook) and be prepared to learn new computer programs as appropriate

g.       Capability in evaluations of legislations, accounting regulations and tax matters including employment related subjects

SKILLS


-          Strong management

-          Must be flexible and have a well developed interpersonal skills

-          Able to work independently under minimal supervisions

-          A flexible to manage competing priorities to tight deadlines

-          Fluency in both English and Swahili
